Let your imagination run wild for a minute. Imagine that the characteristics of a research paper – its topics and its results – can be summarized and represented by a point in a vast space. But we don’t stop there. We summarize more research and fill this space with more points, tons of them. Posts on similar topics are represented by dots that are close together, while posts on different topics are further apart. The more different a pair of papers is, the greater the distance between them.
