Thomas Burt was in the middle of a voice acting contract when he was informed that his voice had been cloned and he was no longer needed for the job.
The Sydney-based voice actor worked full-time in the industry for more than a decade before his work slowed down so drastically that he had to change his career completely.
“AI completely pushed me out of the industry,” he says. “Nowadays I still work part-time as a voice actor, but it’s hard to trust others.”
