This Louisiana company uses AI to help with the restaurant hiring process. It just won a $115,000 prize

Two Louisiana entrepreneurs who started an app that uses artificial intelligence to help with hiring hospitality workers won a northshore business pitch competition.

For their win at the 2025 NSpire Startup Slam, Joshua Anderson and Rich Simmerman, co-founder and CEO of Cantaloupe AI, took home a package of cash and services valued at more than $115,000.
