Sony has released the next giveaways for PlayStation Plus subscribers in January 2021: Maneater, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and GreedFall.
While the latter two are optimized for PS4, the former is the PS5 version, so the “PlayStation Plus Advantage” [is] apparently not applicable to Maneater on PS4 “.
“PlayStation Plus is kicking off 2021 with a bang. PlayStation Plus members will receive two PS4 titles on Tuesday January 5th – the action adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider and action RPG Greedfall,” wrote Adam Michel of SIE about the official PS blog.
“On the same day, PS5 Owners with a PlayStation Plus membership can play a terrifying apex predator in the RPG Maneater of the open world (sea?). “

If you recently purchased the PS5 version of Maneater – and we’re talking about the past few weeks – it would appear that Sony is issuing automatic refunds.
“Bought Maneater last month. PS5 turned on to notice they are giving me a refund,” explained u / BraeWhyit on Reddit. The Sony statement reportedly said, “As a PlayStation Plus subscriber, we will refund the purchase price of this product to your PlayStation Store wallet as it is a monthly PlayStation Plus game. This will not affect your ability to to play the game as we are. ” did not remove the game from your library “.
There doesn’t seem to be a similar deal for someone who recently bought Shadow of the Tomb Raider or GreedFall.
The games will be available for download starting Tuesday January 4th. Then the current freebies – Just Cause 4, Worms Rumble, Rocket Arena and Bugsnax – will be removed from the promotion.
