TemPolor has introduced the world’s first generative AI smart guitar, the Melo-D – which can convert ideas and lyric prompts into playable parts.
In 2026, AI will become ubiquitous in the guitar and music world, and as it continues to divide public opinion, TempPolor is trying to show that it can be a force in the newbie space with the Melo-D.
Admittedly, the fretboard on this quirky and folding headless guitar is a little more Guitar Hero-esque than Gibson-esque, but that’s partly because it’s designed to encourage beginners to stick with an instrument that many people would give up on too quickly.
