Dave Clark, who has led Amazon.com Inc.’s global consumer business since early 2021, is stepping down.

The veteran, who was promoted last year to chief executive of the company’s consumer organization to oversee the massive expansion of its warehousing and logistics operations, will step down on July 1, Amazon said in a regulatory filing on Friday. In a tweet, Clark said it was “time for me to say goodbye and start a new journey.”
Amazon has not named a replacement for Clark. CEO Andy Jassy said the company will announce an update “in the next few weeks.”
“The past few years have been the most challenging and unpredictable we have faced in the history of Amazon’s consumer business, and I particularly appreciate Dave’s leadership during this time,” Jassy said in a blog post.
