Samsung is expanding its range of smart monitors on a large scale. And these displays do a lot more than just show content and take advantage of all kinds of smart TV apps. They even come with a solar powered remote control.
The smaller M5 series now has a 24-inch 1080p display alongside the 27-inch and 32-inch models. Add to that a huge 43-inch 4K M7 model that seems like an exciting candidate for us best monitors list.
As expected, the new smart monitors look elegant with their slim bezels and a stand positioned in the middle. The only question is, how practical can a 43-inch desktop display be? Some might see it as too big while others might see it as an abundance of productivity-oriented screen real estate.
The smart monitors offer a range of functions. The smart monitors are based on the Tizen operating system and offer access to streaming video apps such as Netflix and Prime Video as well as compatibility with Google Assistant and Alexa.
With HDR10 support and built-in speakers, plus a solar-powered remote control, the smart monitors can be used as TVs after the workday is over, so you can sit back and check out some of our tips for work best netflix shows.
However, the smart monitors are also geared towards productivity and offer the option of logging into Microsoft Office 365 remotely and offering compatibility with Samsung DeXthat you can access using a DeX-enabled Galaxy device such as the Galaxy S21. With DeX you can connect a Galaxy phone and use a mini PC with the handset as a desktop interface is displayed on the monitor.
Prices are yet to be announced, but the 27-inch M5 was released for $ 229 and the 32-inch display is priced at $ 399. So you can expect the 24-inch models to be under $ 200 and the larger 43-inch screen to be $ 500.
We look forward to testing the new smart monitors after their release to see if they can live up to the hype.
