Many cybersecurity team leaders continue to face the challenge of finding qualified cybersecurity professionals to fill positions in their organizations, despite the relatively high salaries and stability associated with jobs in this area.

In a recent Cyberbit Competence Survey on Security Operations Centers (SOCs), around six in ten respondents said that barely half of all applicants are qualified for cybersecurity positions in their companies. Two areas where SOC teams felt the most unprepared: a lack of understanding of intruder detection and network monitoring, with 55% and 58% identifying them as the main problem areas.
