Singaporean asset manager Keppel is planning a $10 billion data center hub near the former Hazelwood power station in Victoria, confident it can secure the power and water needed to run what could be the largest site of key artificial intelligence infrastructure in Australia.

The mega-deal was struck with Australian infrastructure company Lightwood Group and gives the Singaporean giant the right to lease a 123-hectare site near Morwell, at the heart of Victoria’s brown coal power generation system.
