  • The camera system includes a brand new film mode and a 150 ° ultra-wide camera.
  • There’s also a new OnePlus Billion Color Solution that allows the phone to take photos in full 10-bit color.

Earlier this week, OnePlus revealed almost all of the major specs of the coming OnePlus 10 Professional. Although a launch date has not yet been confirmed, the phone is expected to be unveiled later this month. Ahead of the official unveiling, OnePlus shed light on the phone’s second generation Hasselblad camera system.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has a new OnePlus Billion Color Solution that allows the phone to take photos in full 10-bit color. That is a 64-fold increase compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 9 Pro. Not only is 10-bit color limited to the main sensor, it is also supported by the telephoto and ultra wide angle cameras.

The other big highlight is the new 150 ° ultra-wide camera, which offers a field of view about four times larger than the ultra-wide cameras of many of the best android phones. Similar to Realme GT 2 ProThe OnePlus 10 Pro’s ultra-wide camera also supports a fisheye mode that “replicates the look of dedicated fisheye cameras”. With AI-powered distortion correction, you can even capture ultra-wide-angle shots in a more traditional 110 ° field of view.

As far as software functions are concerned, the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a second-generation Hasselblad Pro mode that is supported by the three rear cameras. It enables users to take photos in 12-bit RAW format using Hasselblad’s Natural Color Solution. OnePlus has also added a new “empowered RAW format” called RAW +, which combines the benefits of shooting in RAW with the phone’s computerized photography smarts.

The new motion mode gives the user more control over various settings – including ISO and shutter speed, both before and during the shot. It also allows recording of video in LOG format with no preset picture profile, allowing users to record videos with a higher dynamic range and more information in shadows and highlights.
