Samsung is supposed to reveal that Galaxy Z Flip 3 with several significant hardware-level upgrades in the coming months. A new leak gives us a first look at the Petite Foldable – and it looks inspired by the Google Pixel 2.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Introduced in early 2020 as one of the first truly compact foldable smartphones. While having a small phone on demand was a welcome change, one of the most common complaints was that its secondary 1.1-inch screen (or the cover display as Samsung prefers to call it) was way too small to be to be useful or pleasant.
Leak Marketing, Samsung know that. Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 Flip is like folding Pixel 2 or P10 Fold 3, maybe the opposite gap is smaller than Fold 2 but not like X2May 3, 2021
Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 seems to solve this problem. Alleged screenshots of promotional material from the upcoming leaflet have surfaced where the cameras are placed vertically in a large black area next to a much larger cover display. Two camera sensors can be seen here, while the rest of the horizontal area is occupied by the OLED touchscreen. It is expected to be available in at least four colors, viz. White, gray, purple and green – all have a matte finish as opposed to glossy black.
The new two-tone design language will be immediately familiar to you Google Pixel 2 from 2017, which was generally referred to as the “panda” phone because of its cute black and white surface.

Pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 licked too, but they don’t reveal much. A simpler triple camera configuration can be seen on the back, which is likely a primary combination of ultra-wide and telephoto. Along with the usual black and white color options, the same deep green finish can be seen again. Remarkably, the gap at the hinge between the two halves of the folding screen appears to be narrower than that Z fold 2.
Most importantly, one of the frames confirms that the Samsung Z Fold 3 supports touch input using the S-penThis makes it a lot more productive in its tablet avatar. It is unclear whether the pen is kept in the body or whether it is a separate accessory. In both cases, however, it is the first foldable pen to carry a pen of any kind.
With the Note 21 apparently delayed to 2022, the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 will be Samsung’s flagship products in the second half of the year. You are expected unveiled in June or JulyWith upgrades like the Snapdragon 888 chipset, higher refresh rate displays, better cameras, and improved structural reinforcement.
