Samsung today announces its new Galaxy Book Odyssey gaming laptop with the unannounced GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and 3050 graphics cards from Nvidia. The 15.6-inch gaming laptop (1080p) starts at $ 1,399 and comes with 11th generation Intel Core H i5 or i7 processors, up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of SSD storage . The big new addition is the choice between the RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti GPU from Nvidia.
Samsung hasn’t provided many details about the RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti, and Nvidia hasn’t even announced the GPU yet, so the details are slim. The RTX 3050 Ti name appeared on an Asus website in March that mentioned it would have 4GB of storage. Combined with the numbering scheme and 135 watt charger, this is more of an entry-level gaming laptop.
This Galaxy Book Odyssey also includes a 720p webcam, fingerprint reader on the power button and expandable microSD storage. There are two USB-C ports, three USB 3.2 ports, an HDMI port and a network port. According to Samsung, this new gaming laptop also ships with a mysterious “improved cooling system” that is believed to help keep things cool while gaming.
The Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey will be available from August in “mystic black” starting at US $ 1,399. Samsung also announced new lightweight laptops for Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 today complete with OLED screens.
