A bipartisan group of legislators is promoting the so-called “Filter Bubble Transparency Act”. Axios received a copy of the proposed legislation that companies such as Meta (yes, facebook) to give users, in simple terms, the ability to opt out of algorithmic content feeds (like Facebook’s News Feed or Instagram’s Feed) based on personal data.
