After Apple’s privacy label was released late last year, it has become a lot easier to find the amount of data that iOS apps are collecting.
Now, App Intelligence company 42matters is using its own tools along with the iPhone maker’s privacy label to identify the most popular VPN apps for iOS based on the type of data collected.
Beginning late last year, Apple began asking publishers to provide information about the types of data collected by the app to further protect the privacy of iOS users. Your company’s privacy labels use four different labels in the form of data that is used to track your data, data that is associated with you, data that is not associated with you, and data that has not been collected.
There are currently 1,265 apps that have VPN in the App Store title and 42 Matters have looked at the privacy label to better understand what kind of data the iPhone VPN app collects for users. ..
