The Big Four have predicted small businesses and their AI adoption could unlock up to $50 billion for the Australian economy.
A new Deloitte report commissioned by Amazon predicts a $50 million economic “turbo boost” from driving AI adoption among small and medium-sized businesses in Australia.
The report, The AI advantage for small businessesincluded responses from more than 1,000 Australian small businesses across a range of industries and assessed their use of AI against a tailored AI Maturity Index.

This was done to measure and understand the level of adoption and the economic opportunities of its expansion. It found that while two-thirds of SMBs were using AI, only five percent of respondents who used the technology were able to fully realize its potential benefits.
