Billionaire Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI ORCL has reached a $10 billion server deal with tech giant Oracle, according to a report by The Information. The deal marks the end of negotiations to expand an existing agreement in which xAI leased Nvidia’s AI chips through a cloud provider. Musk’s xAI is now purchasing chips to build its own data center, with talks on a multi-year lease of Nvidia processors for Oracle’s planned supercomputer being halted due to Musk’s desires for a faster supercomputer than Oracle believed possible. Both Oracle and Musk’s representatives have declined to comment on the deal.
