The government urges authorities to clarify security fundamentals before embarking on border AI

The federal government has told its agencies that the answer to artificial intelligence (AI) reducing attack time from days to hours is to improve long-neglected security fundamentals.




This is clearly stated in Recommendation 001-2026 of the Home Office’s Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), which adds that the purchase of border AI models such as the much-lauded Anthropic Claude Mythos is not necessary for effective cyber defense.
