The development of new technologies, solutions to climate change, and educational and career opportunities for students are just some of the goals of a new agreement between the university Hawaii and the US Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM).

INDOPACOM is tasked with harnessing and integrating the four branches of the military in the Indo-Pacific region to achieve this US national security goals while safeguarding national interests. At a ceremony on April 20, a memorandum of understanding was signed that lays the groundwork for INDOPACOM and Uh Collaborate in multiple areas and share ideas, initiatives, expertise and values.
