Originally reported just a few weeks ago, it finally happened on Tuesday morning.

“After careful consideration of Oracle’s current business needs, we have made the decision to eliminate your role as part of a broader organizational change.

“So today is your last day of work.”

According to a report by Business InsiderThousands of Oracle employees woke up to that email Tuesday morning as the company looks to cut costs and appears to be embarking on a “broader organizational change.”

The expected job cuts at Oracle were the first announced At the beginning of March and have preceded Amazon And Meta Mass layoffs in the tech industry.

According to the New York PostAs of May 2025, the Bay Area technology company had around 162,000 full-time employees. There are reportedly a total of 30,000 layoffs in this pool.
