Tesla is suing a former employee for allegedly stealing thousands of confidential files
Tesla has sued a former employee for allegedly stealing around 26,000 confidential files during his first week at the company. This is evident from a judicial filing by AFP.
The company announced Friday that software developer Alex Khatilov “outrageously stole thousands of computer scripts that Tesla took years to develop” within three days of being hired and transferred them to his personal Dropbox, a cloud storage service .
Tesla said when confronted by Tesla’s security team, Khatilov claimed he only transferred “a few personal administrative documents” while trying to clear the evidence.
