Tesla and Oracle are on Fortune’s list of the most innovative companies

Outside of the upcoming launch of Cybercab, Tesla has also pushed one Advanced Technology Factory in Austin and plans to build the next generation of Optimus robots at Gigafactory Texas in Austin. Tesla’s factory near Austin employed about 22,000 people last year, making it the second largest private employer in the region.

Now a competitor Rivian Automotive Inc. Number 68 on the list, known for its “process innovation.” The California-based electric vehicle maker, which has a notable presence in the Austin area, is preparing to release its next vehicle, the R2 – a five-seat, midsize, mass-market electric SUV.

Tesla wasn’t the only Austin tech company to be recognized. Oracle Corp. placed higher at number 10. The cloud tech giant was recently reported to have abandoned plans with OpenAI to expand an artificial intelligence data center in Texas. Like Tesla, Oracle was also recognized for its product innovations.
