NEW DELHI: The state-owned Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has blacklisted Cisco Systems from participating in its future tenders for two years, alleging the American networking gear vendor of monopolistic and anti-competitive practices that sabotaged the public sector firm’s participation in the Karnataka State Wide Area Network (KSWAN) 3.0 programme.
TCIL intimated to Trideeb Roy, MD (public sector), Cisco India & SAARC, in a letter dated January 14, 2026, that the networking firm’s conduct “clearly indicates unfair, exclusionary, and anti-competitive practices, aimed at sabotaging TCIL’s participation in a public procurement process for unlawful commercial gain”.
