Classic Azure roles and resources will be retired by August 31, 2024. It is essential for customers to delete any existing admin or co-admin emails selected for auto-scaling notification with Azure Autoscale, as the service will no longer rely on them after August 2024. Moving forward, notifications for scaling operations will only be sent to email addresses listed in the Additional Email Addresses field. For more information and required actions, visit the Azure Updates page on the Microsoft Azure website. Additionally, Azure Classic Resource Providers will also be retiring on the same date.

To ensure that you continue to receive notifications for auto-scaling actions, it is important to follow these steps: remove any admin or co-admin emails selected for Azure Autoscale email notifications and add email addresses to the Additional Email Addresses field. Detailed instructions can be found on the Microsoft Learn page under Azure Classic Subscription Administrators. If you do not have any admin or co-admin emails configured for action notifications, no further action is needed.

It is crucial for customers to take action to avoid any disruptions in auto-scaling notifications and ensure smooth operation of their Azure services. By following the outlined steps and staying informed about the upcoming changes, customers can effectively transition to the new system before the retirement of classic Azure roles and resources on August 31, 2024. Stay updated with the latest information from Azure updates on the Microsoft Azure website.
