T-Mobile and Google Fi users can now access Google’s June Pixel Feature Drop

Pixel phone users on T Mobile and Google Fi Wireless are finally getting the June 2024 Feature Release Update, Android 14 QPR3, after some delays. The update brings improvements such as a new feature in the Google Phone app called “Search” to identify unknown numbers, updates to the Pixel Recorder app, and the rollout of Google’s Pixel VPN. The update also includes DisplayPort support for the Pixel 8 Pro and Gemini Nano support for the Pixel 8 and 8a, along with bug fixes for a smoother experience. It’s worth noting that some features in the update are exclusive to QPR3. The update is rolling out to T Mobile and Google Fi Wireless users, while Verizon clients received it last week. Australian operator Telus received a different version of the update on June 18. This update comes just ahead of the July monthly update, highlighting the importance of timely updates from Google and the need for carriers to release them quickly to all users. Hopefully, updates will be more consistent in the future for all Pixel and Android users.
