ZURICH (Reuters) – A Swiss court has rejected Google’s offer to block the award of a government cloud computing contract worth up to 110 million Swiss francs (119 million US dollars) to competing bidders.

“In an injunction, the Federal Administrative Court rejects Google’s application to give its complaint suspensive effect. The Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics is therefore allowed to conclude public cloud contracts with the selected bidders, ”the court announced on Wednesday.

The decision can be appealed to the Swiss Supreme Court.

The government awarded the contract to Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Alibaba in June, reported Swiss media.
