The Swedish technology start-up Haidrun has launched a blockchain platform for companies aimed at insurers and reinsurers.
Haidrun’s private blockchain platform eliminates suspicious and duplicate transactions by securely and chronologically logging every event, document or transaction. After verification, actions are cryptographically enclosed in “data blocks” and are immutable. This enables the verification of authenticity by providing accurate, secure and transparent records.
Haidrun can also create intelligent personalized contracts for fast and secure processing, payment and reimbursement of claims, the company said. For reinsurance, private blockchain technology can provide accurate reserve calculations based on current contracts for better insight into the payment of claims. This provides highly accurate data to support reinsurance and the balancing of risks against certain risks with a far greater degree of security.
