SUSE introduces AI suite and expands Rancher Prime for enterprise

SUSE has introduced new updates to its SUSE Rancher Prime platform and introduced SUSE AI, an enterprise-focused suite designed to simplify the management and deployment of AI workloads.

SUSE AI works as a stack that builds on the existing cloud-native platform SUSE Rancher Prime. The new offering integrates features such as an AI inference engine, built-in observability via OpenTelemetry, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) proxy to streamline the management of multiple AI models. These additions are intended to provide companies with greater control over data and operational costs while supporting scaling of AI deployments.

The introduction of AI observability capabilities enables automated instrumentation and real-time metric tracking, improving performance management and predictive analysis. Now released as a technology preview, MCP Proxy centralizes management of MCP endpoints, facilitating access to AI models and tighter control over data.
