Two talented individuals, Charis Chua and Heng Yi-Hsin from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), emerged as the winners of the prestigious Red Bull Intern Championship. Their prize includes a two-month internship at the Oracle Red Bull Racing headquarters in the UK, with the announcement made by F1 superstar Max Verstappen.
The Red Bull Intern Championship, organized by Red Bull’s Singapore distributor Pokka Pte. Ltd., aimed to identify and nurture future talent in the world of Formula One. Participants went through a selection process that involved submitting detailed CVs, cover letters, and undergoing a personality assessment using the Red Bull Wingfinder tool.
The competition progressed with candidates creating short videos showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm for F1. Following this, virtual interviews were conducted to delve into the aspirations and contributions the candidates could bring to the fast-paced environment of an F1 team. The final stage included a case study challenge tailored to the internship roles, testing candidates’ problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
Charis Chua won the Hospitality and Events Internship category, impressing the judges with her strategic acumen and ability to engage with diverse audiences. Heng Yi-Hsin secured the Red Bull Relations internship with his creative video submission and strong storytelling skills. Both winners expressed excitement about their upcoming internships at Oracle Red Bull Racing and their subsequent roles at the Singapore Grand Prix.
