State and local governments challenged to manage the cybersecurity postures of the many vendors they do business with have a new resource to turn to.

StateRAMP, made up of a consortium of public and private sector cybersecurity officials, is a new organization tasked with reviewing third-party cybersecurity structure, much like the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) that is already running for technology contracts will be with the federal government.

“We identified the things in the FedRAMP structure that said they did the job,” said Joe Bielawski.
