Star Citizen receives DLSS and Vulkan support through new Nvidia driver, featuring added support for F1 24, Hellblade 2, and other games

Nvidia recently unveiled a new controller designed for gaming that comes with support for several new games and eleven additional G-Sync compatible monitors. The 555.85 drivers include support for games like EA Sports’ F1 24, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Serum, and Ubisoft’s XDefiant. Furthermore, Nvidia introduced new integrations with DLSS in games like Star Citizen, which now features DLSS 2 and Vulkan support in its latest Alpha 3.23 update.

The latest driver update represents a significant jump from the previous version, indicating a substantial overhaul of the underlying software. Games like F1 24 have received major updates, offering a more realistic driving experience with redesigned car models, updated driving behavior, and improved aerodynamics. The game also launches with Nvidia’s DLSS 3 enhancement technology, DLAA, Reflex, and ray tracing graphics.

Hellblade 2, the sequel to the acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, continues the story with enhanced visuals powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. Similarly, Serum, a survival horror game based on time constraints, debuts in early access with support for DLSS 3, DLAA, and Reflex. XDefiant, a competitive first-person shooter by Ubisoft, also launches with Nvidia Reflex technology to reduce latency.

Nvidia has also optimized performance in several games with DLSS 3 enhancement and frame-raising technology. For example, in Hellblade 2, the frame rate triples from 53.5 FPS to 149 FPS at 4K settings with DLSS 3 enabled. Serum and XDefiant also see significant performance improvements with DLSS support on Nvidia’s RTX 40 series GPUs.

In addition to the game integrations, Nvidia introduced 11 new G-Sync compatible monitors that are compatible with the latest driver update. These include ultra-high refresh rate panels from Asus and LG, as well as new OLED offerings. The update also addresses bugs in games like Tekken 8 and Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, ensuring smoother gameplay on Nvidia GPUs.

Overall, Nvidia’s latest driver update brings enhanced gaming experiences with support for new games, DLSS technology, and G-Sync compatible monitors. The performance improvements on Nvidia’s RTX 40 series GPUs showcase the company’s commitment to optimizing gameplay and graphics quality for gamers.
