Students at the University of Staffordshire said they felt “robbed” after it emerged a course they hoped would launch their digital careers was largely taught by AI. A recorded meeting shows student James confronting an instructor about using AI-generated slides to teach a coding module. “I don’t want to be taught by GPT,” the student said.
This year, the university uploaded a policy statement to the course website that appears to justify the use of AI and “provides a framework for academic professionals using AI automation” in academic work and teaching
