If you missed Sony’s Xperia Mark III announcement, that’s fine. GSMArena has the Sony Xperia Mark III family promo videos for each new device. Let’s go through the promo videos to show what Sony has come up with. The promo videos will give you an idea of what the Sony Xperia Mark III family can do.
First is the Sony Xperia 1 III Video. This device has three cameras on the back that don’t seem overly unique. However, these three cameras offer four focal lengths. A new periscope lens with variable magnification is offered for this purpose. You can also switch between focal lengths of 70 mm and 105 mm. There’s also another one-minute video for the Xperia 1 III that shows the device’s new design.
Sony is also launching a smaller version of its Xperia 1 III. It’s called the Xperia 5 III, but it starts at the same time with its big brother. Last year, consumers had to wait for the smaller flagship to hit the market later. Now users can choose either the Xperia 1 III or Xperia 5 III without having to wait for both to start.
Sony Xperia 5 III has the same performance in a smaller package
The Xperia 5 III is more or less the same device, but in a smaller form. In the video, you will see that it is basically the same as its big brother. The video focuses on its camera functions which are unique and impressive. The next one-minute video focuses more on the size of the Xperia 5 III compared to the Xperia 1 III.
Now there is also a 10-minute video. So make yourself comfortable. It’s worth it, though, as the camera capabilities of these two new phones are under scrutiny. It goes beyond all of its impressive display features as well.
These features include the Xperia 1 III’s 4K OLED 120 Hz display, the first on the smartphone market. This will of course be immensely helpful when gaming, and the Xperia 1 III also produces 40% louder sound. Oh, and there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone. Thank you Sony.
The cheaper offer of the Sony Xperia Mark III family
Unfortunately, there’s no news on how much the flagship Mark III units will cost. They’ll most likely cost a pretty penny, but Sony has also unveiled a Mark III mid-range device. The Xperia 10 III 5G has no pricing information either, but it should be more wallet-friendly.
The Xperia 10 III 5G has a 21: 9 OLED display, a 3.5 mm jack, a triple camera, a 4500 mAh battery, water resistance and 5G. A big step down is that this mid-ranger will have a Snapdragon 690 instead of a Snapdragon 888, which makes sense.
Last but not least, there is an unboxing video for the new mid-range device.
Both the Xperia 1 III and the Xperia 5 III will be available early this summer. The Xperia 10 III also plans an early summer start. You can view all of the videos below.
