The Sony PlayStation 5 can be booked in advance India today, December 6th, on Sony’s official ShopatSC website. That means both Sony PlayStation 5 The Standard Edition and Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will be available for 49,990 rupees and 39,990 rupees, respectively. Although these consoles were available in select offline stores, their online sales have been severely hampered since their inception. So far, the PS 5 DualSense Wireless Controller – both midnight black and standard white – is in stock and can be purchased for 5,990 rupees each.
Sales start at 12 noon (noon) and prospective customers need to make sure to book the console as soon as the pre-order goes live. The Sony PlayStation 5 may even be available for sale at other retailers such as Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and more. Some of these platforms have the Sony PlayStation 5 consoles listed, but there are no details on the pre-order date.
The ShopatSC website advises that customers will receive sales offers such as Easy EMI and shipments will start from December 15th depending on their location. Free home delivery is available from the nearest Sony Center. Both the PlayStation 5 Standard Edition and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition come with a one-year guarantee from the date of purchase. In the box, users get a wireless controller, 825 GB SSD, the base, HDMI cable, power adapter, USB cable and customer manuals.
Since their introduction in November 2020, the PlayStation 5 consoles have largely been unavailable in many online (and offline) stores due to the global semiconductor shortage that accelerated due to the pandemic. The problems have faced Sony’s rivals Xbox Series S and Series X. As mentioned earlier, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition in India costs 39,990 rupees, while the standard version with a disc drive costs 49,990 rupees.
