AMD mobile CPUs still lag behind Intel
Even though AMD has finally caught up with Intel In terms of market shares for desktop CPUs, they are still far behind in the field of laptops, on which Intel claims more than 80% of the market.
With the success of their desktop processors and the continued growth of the laptop market, 2021 could be the year AMD begins to focus more on the laptop side with its Cezanne APUs.
However, Intel is unlikely to gain a foothold here as they are expected to announce new Tiger Lake processors during CES as well. Since Intel Evo is showing promise, they are not as precarious on the mobile computer side as they are with desktops.
