US intelligence agencies have said Russia is responsible for a major hacking campaign that hit federal agencies and well-known tech companies.

ON sophisticated malware campaign According to lawmakers and the heads of tech companies implicated in the hack, the Russian intelligence agency went back to a corrupt software update from IT surveillance company SolarWinds. The hackers used a variety of legitimate software and cloud hosting services to access the systems of nine federal agencies and 100 private companies.
