SoftBank Takes Over Oracle’s Ampere Computing for $6.5B

SoftBank Group has announced that it will acquire Ampere Computing, an independent silicon design company, in an all-cash transaction valued at $6.5 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Ampere will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of SoftBank Group and retain its name.
