Dallas, Texas (SMU)? SMU, on behalf of the university? AT&T Center for Virtualizationhas signed a Navy Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific). The San Diego research facility provides essential command and control, communications, computing, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, cyber, and space capabilities to the U.S. Navy and military.

The first phase of the agreement extends from November 1, 2020 to September 30, 2024 and aims to develop methods for improving readiness and mission success for defense platforms and systems. Jerrell Stracener, Senior Research Associate at SMU’s AT&T Center for Virtualization, is a Principal Investigator.
