SK Hynix in talks with Microsoft, Google for long-term DRAM supply – KED Global

SK Hynix Inc., the world’s No. 2 memory chipmaker, is set to provide Microsoft Corp. and Google with DRAM as part of long-term deals worth tens of billions of dollars, industry sources said on Sunday. The global tech giants are seeking to secure the critical memory components amid a supply shortage fueled by the artificial intelligence boom.

SK Hynix is in final talks with Microsoft over a multi-year contract for DDR5 memory that is expected to start this year and span three years, and is potentially worth tens of billions of dollars, according to the sources in Seoul.
