Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech says Optus “may not recover” as they bleed customers following a 14-hour trifecta network outage which eclipsed their data breach incident of 2022.
Mr Fenech joined Sky News Australia to talk about the customer service response from Optus and how their 200 gigabytes of free data as an apology was a “slap in the face”.
“They have a lot of work to do to patch up their reputation,” he said.
“The trifecta of outages, calls mobile and internet, all gone, so a lot of customers are looking now to move
to other networks.
“There were lines down the street on Wednesday outside Telstra stores, outside Vodafone stores.
