Shinsegae I&C is teaming up with KT to expand its Nutanix-based private and hybrid cloud business. The two companies aim to combine their respective cloud and telecommunications infrastructure capabilities to support enterprise cloud migration and broaden their high-value business collaboration in response to the artificial intelligence (AI) era.
Shinsegae I&C and KT announced on the 4th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on August 31 at Shinsegae I&C’s headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to cooperate on enterprise private and hybrid cloud projects. Attendees at the signing ceremony included Jeong Pil-seung, head of Shinsegae I&C’s cloud business division, and Im Geon-ho, managing director of KT’s data services division, along with other officials from both companies.
Based on Shinsegae I&C’s cloud expertise and KT’s B2B customer base and infrastructure capabilities, the two companies will jointly pursue Nutanix-based private and hybrid cloud projects. They plan to leverage their existing services and capabilities to identify customer cloud migration needs and expand the related market.
Specifically, KT will focus on “Cloudline,” its Nutanix-based hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and disaster recovery (DR) service, utilizing its nationwide enterprise customer touchpoints and telecommunications, network, and infrastructure capabilities to identify new demand.
