Sheriff gets approval to work with Oracle for new public safety software

MODESTO — The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors and Sheriff Jeff Dirkse struck a compromise on Tuesday, with each side getting to move ahead with their preferred computer-aided dispatch systems.
