The first phase of a new initiative to triple food production in the UAE has started in Dubai.
Founded on Saturday May 1st by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, the Food Tech Valley is a partnership between the Ministry of Food and Water Safety and Wasl Properties to explore the city Planning for future smart and food-free cities.
The initiative, which aims to help the UAE achieve its National Food Security Strategy 2051 goals, will, in the early stages of its launch, focus on strategic projects to achieve food self-sufficiency while ensuring sustainability and resource conservation, said Mariam Almheiri.
