Sharing Passwords within Your Google Family Group

Sharing Passwords within Your Google Family Group

Google has introduced a new password sharing feature that allows users to share passwords stored in Google Password Manager with family members. This feature is currently only available on mobile devices and is not yet supported on Chrome desktop. When a user shares a password with a family member, a copy of the password is saved in that member’s Google Password Manager.

It is important to note that this feature can only be used with individuals who are part of the user’s Google Authorized Family Group, which is limited to six people. If a user wants to share a password with someone outside of this group, they will need to do so in person using Nearby Share or through other less secure methods.

In summary, Google’s new password sharing feature allows users to securely share passwords with family members stored in Google Password Manager, but only with those within their Google Authorized Family Group. This feature is currently available on mobile devices and not yet supported on Chrome desktop. Users looking to share passwords with individuals outside of their family group will need to use alternative methods.
