Seven students from Southern University awarded IBM Masters Fellowships

Seven Southern University students were recognized for earning master’s degree scholarships from IBM at a ceremony held during the Southern University System Board of Overseers meeting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The students, Vishak Chandrasekharan, Ama Darkwah, Shilpa Jaiswal, Sri Chandana Julalanti, Evelyn Quansah, Shwetha Ramadas, and Amilah Mendoza, each received $11,000 through the IBM Masters Fellowship program. This program aims to support exceptional master’s students who are conducting research in the field of “promising and disruptive technologies.”

Lydia Logan, the IBM VIP for Global Education and Workforce Development, congratulated Southern University and A&M College and the seven students for their achievements.
