Senate Panel Approves IC Funding Bill With Tech, Cyber ​​Focus – MeriTalk


The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence unanimously approved the Intelligence Authorization Act (IAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 on June 22 to authorize funding, provide legal authority, and provide congressional oversight for the U.S. intelligence community (IC) to improve.

According to Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., the committee’s chair, the IAA will ensure the IC has the resources, staff and agencies needed to make informed decisions about national security threats. The bill will also improve hiring and security clearance processes and create an office for global competitive analysis to ensure US leadership in technology sectors critical to national security.
