The UK is currently joining the United States and China as countries raising suspicious concerns about the national security threats posed by foreign technology.
It has always been hard to understand the Trump administration’s obsession with what the ByteDance TikTok video app looks like, for example. American defense may be weakened. Beijing Alert last week Diddy’s data, which is extremely important to foreign powers, appears to be exaggerated compared to China’s ride-haling app.
Obviously, this is about a lot more in terms of trading conditions, technological dominance, financial market dominance, and old-fashioned geopolitical tensions.
However, for national security reasons, the UK government is a little concerned about the acquisition of China’s largest silicon wafer maker in the country.
