TMRW Sports has officially confirmed its plans for a women’s version of TGL, with the company announcing a partnership with the LPGA to create “WTGL” starting next winter.
There had been conversations between TMRW and the LPGA about integrating women into the existing men’s league, but the new league will begin after the 2026 LPGA season with women only.
“The driving principles of TGL were to create a modern media version of a sport that in today’s world was going to help cut through,” TMRW co-founder Mike McCarley said Monday. “The conversation with the LPGA has been very similar, but really focused on trying to provide a stage, a platform, a spotlight for the LPGA players in a way that’ll continue.”
LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler took over last summer and introduced four pillars to success: trust, visibility, fans and financials. The new WTGL taps into at least two, he said.
