Samsung has released a new camera app in beta that allows you to use Pro mode for all four rear cameras on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. That means it is supported by both telecameras and is not limited to just its main and ultrawide sensors. The new Expert RAW app was released in the South Korean Galaxy Store, but FrontTron tipster has an APK to download if you want to side-load it. For the time being it seems to be only available for the S21 Ultra on devices with Android 12.
The new app overcomes a limitation of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, namely that the Pro mode of the standard camera is only available with two of the four rear cameras (also known as the 108-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel ultrawide, but not the 10-megapixel Main camera). Megapixels 10x Tele or 3x Tele). Expert mode is an advanced feature in the camera app that allows you to manually control recording elements such as ISO and shutter speed and record in RAW.
Supported in S21U with Android 12 or higher.

The app Announcement post says the Expert RAW app can record in lossless JPEG and 16-bit linear DNG RAW formats. GSMArena Reports Both produce images that benefit from multi-frame HDR processing, but the latter offers the flexibility you get when editing a RAW image file. Just make sure you use an app like Lightroom to edit the DNG file as normal photo apps like Google Photos remove HDR and other post-processing.
We contacted Samsung for more information about the app, including when it might be available for the S21 and S21 Plus, or if its features could eventually be added to the standard Samsung app.
