Samsung has done an excellent job over the past few months pushing security updates to its devices. The company’s security update schedule has improved, with the latest Android security patches being rolled out to some of its devices even before Google officially releases its Android security bulletin. In addition, Samsung recently announced that it will offer three generations of Android operating system upgrades for most of its devices. This is in line with the software support that Google offers for its Pixel line of products. While the company may be releasing software updates for extended periods of time for devices launched in recent years, as of 2017, it removed four phones from its security update bulletin.
