SA tax lawyer’s AI warns of huge demand for accountants – News | InDaily, Inside South Australia

Adrian Cartland, founder of Cartland Law, is warning South Australian business owners to be wary of AI-powered tax advice as demand for accounting services increases following the federal government’s tax law changes.

The lawyer, who has practiced law for two decades and has been the head of his own firm for 11 years, said accounting firms were being inundated with inquiries because the new changes to the household tax law would affect “every single business owner.”

“What this (federal) budget changes – assuming it passes – requires a restructuring of every single business in Australia,” said Cartland, who calls himself the “Taxinator” based on his impressions of Terminator film action filmmaker Arnold Sschwarzenegger.

“Every individual business owner needs to go to their accountant and tax advisor and think about how they are going to change their structure.”
